Anyone can bake a cake and anyone (including you) can make a total mess of it! What’s the difference between the successful cake bakers and the ‘flops’?

The successful cake bakers follow the recipe. Same with business, ANY business. If you find a business that has a proven recipe for success and you FOLLOW that recipe, the chances are that you will get success. I can tell you for a fact that if you don’t follow the recipe the chances of you getting ANY success are probably slim to none. Now that may sound harsh but as you will see by browsing this site regularly, I like to deal in REALITY and not the over hyped nonsense about building successful businesses found on so many site today.

The fact is, succeeding in business today is NOT easy. If it were, everyone would be an entrepreneur and everyone would be successful. The reality is, that only a tiny percentage of people that embark on the dream of becoming a successful business owner ever make it. “Why is that” I hear you ask. SIMPLE: They either don’t follow the recipe or they just try and build their business without one. Either way, the outcome is always the same. TOTAL FAILURE! End of story.

Look, it is not all doom and gloom. If you buy an existing business, the previous owner will be more than happy to teach you their recipe. In fact, you can make it part of the sale agreement. If you purchase a franchise, the recipe is one of the most attractive features that get’s people to part with hundreds of thousands of dollars to give themselves a great chance of success. Notice I didn’t say a guarantee of success. Nothing today is guaranteed but if you start with a proven blueprint your chances to succeed are substantially enhanced.

I have spent my adult life in the Network Marketing / Direct sales industry. Because most of these businesses are run from home, many people do not give them the same credibility as the more mainstream business entities. That is until they see us making the same or often more money than traditional business people with a fraction of the start up costs, a fraction of the overhead, a fraction of the work hours and NONE of the absurd stress that the others have.

Regardless of all that, for a person to succeed they STILL need a recipe, a step by step blueprint to follow. If you look at a business and they cannot provide you with that. Move on and keep looking or you will be making an uphill struggle for yourself.

Every recipe has its ESSENTIAL ingredient. To succeed in a home based business is no different and in this instance, the ingredient is:

THE ABILITY TO GENERATE A CONSTANT STREAM OF POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS& BUSINESS PARTNERS

Take it as fact, if you do not have that, you have ZERO chance of succeeding in any home based business and you are definitely going to end up spending more money than you can make. NOT FUN.

I have “Been there and done that” and my prayer is to help others avoid some of the mistakes I made. In fact, I wouldn’t even consider letting someone join my main business if they couldn’t grasp this fact and be prepared to do something about it. It’s one thing for them to look at my lifestyle and say “Yeah, I also want that” but if they think it is going to come by making a list of all their friends and SELLING them on the idea of ‘joining the team’ they are going to end up unhappy. Life is too short to be unhappy. You need to get the success you deserve and the only way to do that is to LEARN what really works in this industry.

Whatever business you are in or end up in, you need to be able to generate a MINIMUM of 15 to 20 QUALIFIED leads per day. You should be able to do that for minimal cost. In fact if you pay attention you could generate the leads at zero cost AND if you are just a little bit creative, you could even turn what for most people is their biggest expense into a PROFIT CENTER! That’s right, there are plenty of us in the industry who actually make a PROFIT out of the process of finding new business partners.

Now THAT’S what I call a recipe!
