What is behind the use of term like “network marketing
scam” & “lead generation scam”?

This writer has been involved in the network marketing
profession ( that’s what it is) for 3 decades. What I can
tell you is this. Before the advent of the internet circa
1995, you never heard the word ‘scam’ except maybe in
connection with an illegal pyramid scheme or ponzi scheme,
neither which has any connection to network marketing per
se’. In fact, if you are not enlightened regarding this, you
can check all the legal definitions at ftc.gov

In any event, the other term that was wholly unfamiliar
prior to that same time, was ‘lead generation’. People in
network marketing did not need to know about lead generation
because network marketing was still for the most part, a
part-time business. Something people did on the side for
extra income. Now of course there were a few exceptions, but
on the whole that was the landscape.

The arrival of the Internet changed everything. A new breed
of independent business person emerged and millions of
people all across the world chose network marketing as a
career. Along with that, the lead generation industry was
born. It was necessary to meet the demand for customers and
potential distributors.

In the past 30 years, I have never met anyone who was
actually ‘scammed’ by network marketing or more recently
‘lead generation’ There are endless people that got involved
in network marketing companies, didn’t succeed, usually
because they could not master the lead generation. Then,
rather than admit their own short comings, they would claim
that it was not their fault, but the business was a scam!

Meanwhile there are usually plenty of other people doing
the same business who did get the lead generation right,
who are having a great time and making plenty of money.

So, if you want to avoid catching bird flu, stop buying
into the lies…

Look for a company selling products that you can be
passionate about. With a person that you can work with who
can show you how to get the necessary tools to master lead
generation (you cannot succeed without it)

Your chance of success will be greatly enhanced plus, you
will develop immunity to so called lead generation scams,
network marketing scams and also, the proverbial bird flu!
